Documentary Release: “Abandoned: Greed, Neglect and Environmental Injustice in Adel” Watch Party and Panel

Georgia Conservation Voters Education Fund released “Abandoned: Greed, Neglect and Environmental Injustice in Adel” on Friday, January 14. “Abandoned” is a short documentary shot and produced by Georgia Conservation Voters Education Fund demonstrating the neglect and environmental injustices facing the city of Adel, Georgia. The film provides watchers with a view into the dangers of pollution, environmental harm and neglect from local government leaders that residents face and highlights some of the worst conditions city residents face. The 35 minute long video is the culmination of months of research, information gathering and interviews with the citizens of Adel and experts, including Cook County resident Dr. Treva Gear and Dogwood Alliance Georgia State Coordinator Vicki Weeks.
